Knoxville’s Bijou Theatre is kicking off the 100 Donors in 100 Days membership campaign with a First Friday on the U.S. Cellular Stage at the Bijou Theatre Friday, August 1, 2014. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Tours of the historic Bijou Theatre will begin at 6:30 p.m. and run every half hour until 8:30 p.m. Food and drink will be provided and the bar will be open. There will also be a few prizes to give away, but patrons need to stop by and sign up first. The first drawing for a one-year Friends of the Bijou membership ($100 level) will occur at 7 p.m. The second drawing for a pair of tickets to a Bijou show will take place at 8 p.m.
Friends of the Bijou members are eligible for a variety of perks, including waived ticket fees and invitations to pre-show mix n mingles. Support helps to preserve the historic Bijou Theatre and continue providing a culturally diverse programming experience for East Tennesseans.
